Description
This modification revises the single aggregate bonding limit to "at least $7 million." COFFMAN COVE SATOC IDIQ, Tongass National Forest, Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. THIS SOLICITATION IS OFFERED FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS Western Federal Lands Highway Division intends to solicit for the award of ONE Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) construction contract for the time critical removal of pyritic rock and replacement with inert embankment rock at intermittent sites along US Forest Service Road 3030 near Coffman Cove, Alaska. The anticipated contract will be in effect from date of award through September 30, 2011. No work can be ordered after this date. Construction projects will be awarded on a task order by task order basis as designs are completed and funding is received. The volume and sequence of construction projects will be dependent upon future allocation of funds. The sum of all task order values will be no more than $18,000,000. Firms will need a single bonding limit of at least $7 million, and an aggregate bonding limit of at least $15 million. Typical work includes shot rock embankment production, aggregate production, excavation, embankment, aggregate placement, shot rock placement, develop/remove/haul/place existing embankment materials in designated locations, culvert pipe removal/disposal/installation, shot crete installation, liner installations, monitoring well installations, and paving. Associated work such as survey, surfacing, and traffic control may be included. We will simultaneously issue a Task Order Request for Proposal (TO-RFP) for the first Task Order. See the attached Description of Work for further details. This paragraph announces possible financing available to Small & Disadvantaged (SDB), Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). (NOTE – This paragraph does not reserve this solicitation for these types of business): The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
