Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk Office, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures in support of the Fire Departments, Naval District Washington, Washington DC, 20374. The service to be provided will include the safety test and inspection of ground and aerial ladders that are owned and operated by the Fire Departments in Washington, DC, Annapolis, Indian Head, Patuxent River and Camp David, MD and Dahlgren, VA. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 926150. A request for a complete proposal package will be available for download on or about 15 April 2009 at the following websites:http://www.neco.navy.mil and www.fedbizopps.gov. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the so! licitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above cites. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that prospective awardees must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration! and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-999-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The NECO website has a "submit bid" button next to the solicitation number. DO NOT use the "submit bid" button on NECO to submit your proposal.
