Description
The scope of work may consist of all aspects of Architect/Engineering Services for Repair/Alteration, Building Expansions and New Construction for leased and owned facilities in the Mid-America District ( State of Missouri Zip Code areas 636-641; 644- 649; 654-658, and State of Kansas, Zip Code areas, 660-662; 667. All work will be developed consistent with Postal Service regulations and Standard Building Designs for facilities of 1,000 sq. ft. through 50,000 sq. ft. Multiple contract(s) will be awarded having a base term of two (2) years with the possibility of three (3) one-year bilateral renewal options. The contract value will not exceed $5,000,000 over a five year period. Individual work orders for each project will be issued under the terms of the contract(s) and each work order will be negotiated as a single project. Work orders for any one project will not exceed $500,000. Firms which possess the qualifications to perform the services described below are invited to submit four (4) copies of completed SF 330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications, (also Part 2, Sections E and F) for itself and for each of its proposed consultants no later than May 15, 2009. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 330 Form. Criteria to be used in selection of firms for interview will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with the instruction in the following order of preference: 1. Main or Branch office located within Mid-America District. 2. Extensive experience in designing and supporting new construction projects, repair and alteration projects, and other projects similar in nature to those executed by the U.S. Postal Service. 3. Minimum of two licensed architects registered in Missouri and Kansas. 4. A licensed engineer registered in Missouri and Kansas for each of the required disciplines – mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil. 5. Capacity of firm to respond to multiple projects within the same timeframe. 6. Utilization of latest AUTOCAD system using similar standards and procedures. 7. Company must have been in business under the firm's present name for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years and providing the architectural/engineering services as required in this notice. 8. Provide certificate of insurance that includes errors and omissions coverage of $500,000 per claim. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project. No other general notification for this project will be made. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals.
