Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Eaton Corporation, located at 8609 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27615 pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a)(1)(ii) under the authority of the test program for commercial items (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996) for replacement parts for Uninterruptible Power Source (UPS) systems designed, installed and modified by Eaton Corporation, formerly Exide, for SSA’s National Computer Center located in Baltimore (Woodlawn), Maryland. Eaton Corporation provides preventative and remedial maintenance for the UPS systems; they are the sole source for tested and reliable replacement parts. The parts being procured are direct replacements for parts that are worn out in service.
