Description
"This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposals abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small business; HubZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small business; woman-owned small business; or small disadvantaged business; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice.” The Occupational Therapy (OT) Section of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department provides clinical and research services to support initiatives in the Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health. Services include clinical evaluation and treatment of biomedical research patients and independent and/or collaborative research with institutes to identify and contribute understanding of functional outcomes related to natural history or drug efficacy trials. The purpose of this contract is acquire the services of Occupational Therapist to provide program development and clinical care for low vision patients who are referred from the NIH Institutes including the National Eye Institute and the Human Genome Institute. The range of task but not limited to: 1) initial assessments to determine low vision for NIH population; 2) patient evaluation/treatment/discharge planning. Contractors or parties interested in responding to this source sought announcement are requested to submit a written response to indicate their capabilities and clearly demonstrate your knowledge, training, experience and skills to provide these services outlined above. Additionally, the capability statement should identify the Type of Company (i.e., small business, 8 (a), woman-owned, veteran owned, etc.) as validated via the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Reponses should be submitted by no later than April 21, 2009 to Diania Snowden, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, Clinical Center, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Suite 106, Bethesda, Maryland.
