Description

The Government posts this notice of intent to issue an 8(a) Sole Source request for proposal to Boykin Construction, Inc., 167 Lott Ct., West Columbia, SC 29169-3051. THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: The contractor shall remove rubber build up from surface of runways 04L/22R and 04R/22L. Remove paint and re-stripe as directed by contracting officers designated representative and Air Filed Manager. The Types of Markings will vary in width fro 18 inches to 6 inches and be of various lengths. Paint removal will sometimes slightly vary in width + or minus 1 inch. Paint shall be Traffic paint Sherman Williams or Equivalent with reflective media as required. The colors shall vary from white reflective, yellow reflective, non reflective black, non reflective red and non reflective yellow. Paint shall conform to all Military and Federal Highway Transportation requirements. Reflective media shall conform to the same standards. Pursuant to section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)), and in accordance with 13 CFR 124.1-1(c) and FAR 19.8, the South Carolina Small Business Administration has accepted this requirement on behalf of Boykin Construction, Inc.
