Description
Chapter 10 Recorder Industry Day May 14-15, 2009 (Ridgecrest, CA). The recent explosion in the adoption of the IRIG 106 Chapter 10 standard for digital recording has resulted in a number of interoperability issues, mainly reproduction and reconstruction as well as replay of one vendor's files by a second or third vendor's hardware or software. In order to address and solve this problem the Recorder and Reproducer (R&R) Committee, Telemetry Group, Range Commanders Council (RCC) is sponsoring a Ch-10 Recorder Industry Day. During the Industry Day the participating vendors will generate a compliant IRIG 106-07 Chapter 10 file which will then be distributed to other vendors to validate reproduction, reconstruction and/or replay. Any and all errors in reproduction, reconstruction or replay will be documented and included in current and future government procurements and, if applicable, as additions to future IRIG-106 standards, specifically Chapters 6, 9 or 10. Attendees are invited from vendors of ground recorders, onboard/airborne recorders, and software that have a capability to replay and/or display or process CH10 data. Any and all vendors are welcome to attend the Industry Day. However, several prerequisites (sample files, compliancy matrix, documentation of known incompatibilities, etc) must be met before attendance. The host of this event will be NAVAIR, China Lake and an official visit requests must be also provide. For an information packet and details contact Albert Gabaldón (albert.gabaldon@navy.mil, 760-939-6023) or Tim Chalfant (tim.chalfant@edwards.af.mil, 661 275-4444) or visit our website at https://wsmrc2vger.wsmr.army.mil/rcc/index.htm.
