- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of Mobile Mammogram Unit services. The services will be performed on female individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment, located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota. The Contractor shall be responsible for the commercial practices of performing a Mobile Mammogram service. These include, but are not limited to, screening mammogram services, interpretation reports, diagnosis and making recommendations and modalities that are deemed essential and necessary. At a minimum, the Contractor must be in compliance with all Federal and State regulations. The Contractor must provide proof of certification by the Food and Drug Administration under the Mammogram Quality Standards Act, and accreditation by the American College of Radiation. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible company or individual who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract period will consist of a base year and four option years for renewal. The estimated quantity for the base year and each option year consist of approximately 600 sessions per year. A session is defined as one (1) mammogram exam. The Mobile Mammogram Unit will perform services on between 20 to 30 female inmate patients during a visit to the institution. The solicitation will be available on or about January 2, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about May 14, 2009. The solicitation is unrestricted and open to all businesses. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 621512. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible businesses may submit a quote.
