Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources or alternate sources for the test, evaluation, and overhaul or repair of the Armys Heading Attitude Reference System (HARS) AN/ASN-143, NSN 66605-01-161-3919. The current source for this unit is Northrup-Grumman Corp., Navigation Systems Division, 21240 Burbank Blvd., Woodland Hills, CA 91367-6675, CAGE 06481. The HARS AN/ASN-143 is an Inertial Navigation Unit that operates with the Doppler Navigation System to provide heading and attitude data to the aircraft avionics; the data includes magnetic heading to the HSI and Doppler Radar and a composition of angular rates angular acceleration linear acceleration and hover display data to the fire control computer for the AH-64 Apache Helicopter. Detailed technical data for the repair and test and evaluation of this unit is not available from the Army. Repair Contractor capable of performing this effort must so indicate, by writing to Commander, US Army C-E LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as Evaluation & Test Procedures, copy of purchase order if the repair contractor was a repair subcontractor to the above source or a statement from the above source demonstrating that the repair contractor can, in fact, test, evaluate, and overhaul or repair the HARS AN/ASN-143. Successful repair contractor shall be required to warrant that they are capable to test, evaluate, and overhaul or repair this item and return it to the Government in the configuration as a proper functioning unit that will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
