- Duration of Contract Period: 1 YEAR Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(13)(ii), All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency This is a requirement for the overhaul of the C-130 Regulating Valve. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the C-130 Regulating Valve. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The solicitation number will be FA8118-09-R-0045. The item and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN 4820-01-490-4761RK, P/N: 321705-11, Noun: Regulating Valve; Applicable to C-130 aircraft; Quantity: 4 each. Item 0002: Over and Above Work.Item 0003: Data IAW DD 1423.Deliveries are to be 4 each beginning 60 days after receipt of order and reparables. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 4 May 2009.APPROVED SOURCES are: Whittaker Controls, North Hollywood, CA, Cage Code 79318. PR Number is FD2030-09-06750.NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
