- Department of Veterans Affairs Network 21 Consolidated Contracting will be issuing a Request for Proposal for a General Construction Contractor for a Design-Build project to include completion of a partial design, and construction of an Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Center at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, California. Interior and exterior work will include; HVAC & Plumbing, Electrical, Roofing, Fire Protection, Pool Construction, Site Utilities and Landscaping, among others. Approximate SF involved is 15,000. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. Offers will only be accepted from qualified Small Businesses. This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement only. Solicitation documents will be available on or about April 29, 2009. Offerors will be required to submit both a technical and pricing proposal. Solicitation will contain proposal instructions. A mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference and Project Site Visit will be held on May 14, 2009 at the Palo Alto facility from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Exact location will be published in the solicitation. This conference is mandatory; offers will only be accepted from General Contractors attending the conference. Estimated project cost is over $10,000,000.
