- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Puget Sound Healthcare System, Seattle, WA intends to award a sole source contract with Stericycle, 13975 West Polo Trail Drive Suite 201, Lake Forest, IL, 60045-5119. Stericycle is the only licensed business company in King county to remove bio-Medical Waste Removal Service for the Seattle Campus (1660 South Columbian Way, Seattle, Washington 98108) including the American Lake Campus (9600 Veterans Drive, Tacoma, WA 98493). Contractor is to provide all labor, supplies, management and general expertise necessary to fulfill requirements. This is an unrestricted procurement with a NAICS of 562211. The size standard is $10.5 million. Service code S221 applies. Contract offers will include a base period with (3) one-year option periods. The intent is for open market procurement; market research did not reveal any potential for an SDVOSB set aside, however should a valid SDVOSB inquire, this requirement may be changed to a set aside accordingly. No telephone requests will be accepted. Offers are due no later than 4:00pm, local time, April 24th, 2009.. In accordance with FAR 12, a Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The NAICS code is 561621, $12.5M. Other interested parties must submit detailed product information to the contracting officer no later than April 23th, 2009 in order to have their products considered. The actual solicitation should be posted on or about May 29, 2009. The solicitation is available as a web based document and should be downloaded by interested offerors. Note: The website for downloading the solicitation at no cost is the Federal Business Opportunities, www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendment issued against this solicitation will also be available from the same URL addresses. Contractor is responsible for submitting all documents required in accordance with the solicitation, including any amendments which will be posted on this website. Solicitation is also subject to availability of funding. Proposals shall be submitted on an all or nothing basis. Partial proposals will be rejected. Proposal shall be valid for 60 days from offer due date. The following provisions and clauses apply as appropriate plus any addenda: This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-30.
