- Description
- The USDA Forest Service, Ottawa National Forest is soliciting for construction repair work at the Black River Harbor Recreation Area located in the vicinity of Bessemer in Michigan's western upper peninsula. Project work includes A) repair of rock walls (decorative retaining style; includes tuck pointing), B) placement of rock ground cover at north end of suspension bridge, C) addition of safety rails on and up to observation platforms and along trail above river (at approximately 7 different locations), D) replacement of guardrails, E) repair of steps, stairs, and platforms at indicated locations, F) removal of stairs, platforms, and guard rails, and G) placement of two bridges to replace existing walkways. The project completion date is November 13, 2009. The project is estimated between $150,000 and $250,000. Offer guarantee, performance and payment bonds, CCR, and ORCA are required. This will be a hub-zone small business set-aside best value award. All solicitation documents will be posted at FBO.
