Description
Technical Evaluation Criteria Solicitation # 1055551 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking Full and Open Business for vendors that can provide quotes/proposals. Award will be a firm fixed price purchase order. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, simplified acquisition procedures and the resultant purchase order will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-32. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. The synopsis, NAICS code 423490, is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13, for the following statement of work, under the simplified acquisition procedures. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award a contract without discussions if the Contracting Officer determines that the initial offer(s) is/are providing Best Value and discussions are not necessary. Project Title:Automated DNA and RNA Isolation Instrumentation Background: The instrumentation will be used for the isolation of DNA that will subsequently be used for Bacterial Barcoding using the Biomerieux Diversilab System. The results from the Diversilab will be used both to build a database for bacterial foodborne pathogens and for comparison to a database already established by Biomerieux. Data has shown that the method used to isolate the DNA is critical for reproducible results that can be used for both generation of a database and database comparisons. The purchased instrumentation must be compatible with the Diversilab system for bacterial barcoding. Requirements: QTY 1 The equipment must be compatible with the chemistry used for the isolation of DNA that will subsequently be used in the Biomerieux Diversilab system. The chemistry must be magnetic silica based and show compatibility with that used for Diversilab and Bacterial Bar Coding. Deliverables: The contractor shall deliver 60 days after receipt of order. Warranty: A one year warranty must be available with the instrument with additional warranties available for an additional cost. 1.Service and Preventive Maintenance for the following: a.1 EasyMag System 2.Agreement Type a.Full Agreement Type b.All travel charges within the continental USA. c.Emergency repair service as required during the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding vendor observed holidays, unless otherwise stated in writing by the vendor. d.All covered replacement parts, excluding consumable items. e.Application support f.Software updates when available. g.Vendor shall provide one (1) planned maintenance inspection (PM) per year. 3.Service and Preventative Maintenance base year Base Year plus four (4) option years CCR: Vendor must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of the contract.
