Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC-PCD) is seeking information on commercially available oil free, air cooled portable oxygen booster pump assemblies, both pneumatic and electric drive. The portable oxygen booster pump assemblies will be used by U. S. Naval Special Warfare (NSW) detachments for charging high pressure oxygen bottles in extreme environments. The portable oxygen booster pump assemblies will be required to have the following characteristics: Have a suction pressure no less than 250 psig and a minimum discharge pressure of 3000 psig. Be capable of providing a minimum of 12 to 40 scfm at 1000 psig inlet gas pressure. Quick disconnect fittings for interfacing hose assemblies, with one 5 micron filter and pressure gauge on both the suction and discharge sides of the booster pump. A relief valve and pressure limiting device will also be required on the discharge side of the pump. Booster pump assembly to include hour meter or cycle co! unter. Selection of material for oxygen service to conform to ASTM G88-05 and all oxygen wetted components to be cleaned IAW MIL-STD-1330. Air drive working pressure to be 125 psig and incorporate quick disconnect hose fitting, filter, LP regulator, pressure gauge, relief valve and throttling valve rated at a minimum pressure of 150 psig capable of flowing a minimum of 50 SCFM. Electric drive to be 120/220 vac 60/50 Hz with on/off switch, start switch, power indicating light and emergency stop switch. Desirable booster pump assembly would be a fixed placement of the booster pump within a pelican style hard case with dimensional requirements approximately 33"L x 21"W x 13"H with a maximum weight of 85 lbs. An optional arrangement would be for placement of booster pump assembly within an aluminum frame with dimensional requirements approximately 33"L x 21"W x 19"H with a maximum weight of 95 lbs. Both configurations to be designed for transport by two men. The technical point of contact for this action is Mr. Joe Berger Code E-13. He may be reached by telephone at (850-235-5873 or e-mail at joseph.berger@navy.mil.
