Description
This is the synopsis and public notice for acquisitions over $25,000. The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), located at MacDill AFB, FL intends to issue a firm-fixed price commercial items Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity type contract for Rolls-Royce T56-A-14 Aircraft Engine Maintenance, Technical and Training Services. The period of performance will be a base year and four option years. It is intended that a contract award will be issued by July 30, 2009. The proposed acquisition is for services for which the Government is seeking contractors who can perform fixed base operations in support of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, technical support, and maintenance training for the Rolls Royce T56-A-14 aircraft engines. It is not in the Government's best interest to procure these services separately. Actual schedule start and completion dates for each task order will be negotiated between the Government and the contractor. Firms must be certified as an authorized Rolls-Royce Maintenance Center covering the T56-A-14 or 501 equivalent engine types is not required, but is preferred. The appropriate insurance of not less than $750,000 to cover the engines will be required. Interested firms shall include, in writing, the company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and business size; a statement regarding their capabilities and qualifications to perform maintenance, technical support, and training for T56-A-14 aircraft engines. Responses can be faxed to Ron Anielak at (816) 274-6951 or sent via email to ronald.f.anielak@noaa.gov. All responsible business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
