- Description
- Hill AFB, AMXG/EN is currently applying for approval of a foreign comparative testing program. This announcement is for sources sought for companies that manufacture and supply aircraft fuel system tracer gas based leak detection systems that meet the following requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Tracer gas based aircraft fuel leak detection systems with hand held probes. Tracer gases: Hydrogen mix (Non Flammable 5% hydrogen, 95% Nitrogen) and/or Helium based. Sensitivity in leak detection mode shall be 2 to 5 x 10 to the -6 cc/sec leak rates. Must be intrinsically safe for leak detection use in fuel aircraft explosive environments and meet all NEC Class 1, Zone 0 classification requirements. The detection system must be usable in Zones 0, 1, and 2 for (hydrogen, jet-fuel, and other T1, T2 and T3 gases). Must have durable water proof enclosures, ruggedized electronics and hand probes suitable for use in aircraft production environments, have numeric scale based displays, and be battery operable without recharge for a minimum of 7 hours. The units must be capable of field calibration or alignment and be provided with all required calibration standards.
