Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Contracting Department, Norfolk Office, Norfolk VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a Brand Name only, Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to a Small Business from the below listed Part Numbers, Description and Quantity: Part No.DescriptionQuantityLOG-2010-002 LX2010Log Analysis appliance supports up to 4,000 messages per second sustained and up to 4096 sources. Redundant fans, power supplies, RAID-10 storage. Includes platform software.1LOG-ST03-002 ST 3010Log Analysis appliance supports up to 75,000 messages per second sustained and up to 4096 sources. Stores up to two years of log messages on 4TB raw storage. Includes platform software.2SUP-PLAT-001 12 MONTHS (PLATINUM)Includes software updates, software upgrades, hardware RMA replacement and hotline phone support 24/7. 3 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, a brand name acquisition under the authority of the test program for certain commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). The requirement is to purchase LogLogic devices and software that is compatible with the currently installed LogLogic devices. If any other brand of devices or software is purchased then it would require substantial re-engineering effort and any alternative would not be cost effective. Delivery is FOB Destination to the Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command, 2465 Guadalcanal Road, Street 8, Norfolk, VA 23521-3231. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 01 May 2009 by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code is 334112. The size standard is no more than 1,000 employees. The RFQ solicitation and any subseq! uent amendments will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
