Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate and issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0010 on an other than full and open competitive basis to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) 6900 Main Street, P.O. Box 9731, Stratford, CT 06615-9131. The anticipated work is for SAC to provide non-recurring engineering including fabrication, installation support, flight support and qualification of the non-Halon Fire Extinguishing (FIREX) distribution system. The third phase of the effort seeks to replace the MH-60R/S Halon fire extinguishing system with a non-ozone depleting substance. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency’s requirements. SAC is the only known source with the knowledge, experience, expertise, and proprietary technical data required to successfully perform these tasks. This synopsis is for information purposes only.
