Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a sole source purchase order award to International Doors. The Great Lakes Air and Marine location has an urgent requirement for hangar door repairs in its primary aircraft hangar. Only 1 of the 3 doors is functioning which is affecting operations. Lack of proper timers and limit switches creates a safety hazard. International Doors is the intended vendor because they built and installed these doors approximately 30 years ago and is the only vendor familiar enough with the doors to repair them appropriately. Great Lakes Air and Marine is leasing their facility from the United States Air Force, and the Air Force has specific requirements as to hangar door operations and safety. International Doors is the vendor used exclusively by the USAF at Selfridge ANGB, which is where Great Lakes Air and Marine is housed.
