- Description
- In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to modify solicitation 08CRSS0024 to include Act related provisions, which are incorporated into the solicitation via amendment 004. The requirement described below is within scope of the subject solicitation specifications. The total ceiling dollar value for all contracts to be awarded is $30M for strong-motion systems (earthquake monitoring equipment), including sensors and recording systems. Also included are integrated systems which combine a sensor and recording system in a single unit. This equipment makes it possible to record ground motions, such as earthquakes, over a wide range of amplitude and frequency, in support of the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) and Global Seismographic Network (GSN). The period of performance is a twelve month contract with four twelve month option periods. The primary place of performance will be determined at the time of placement of individual firm-fixed price orders against the contract. Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award(s) may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.
