- THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE RELEASED VIA THE INTERNET. This will be the only method for distributing solicitation documents and amendments. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND DOWNLOADING AT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE: https://www.neco.navy.mil The official planholders list will be maintained and can be printed on the website only. Amendments will be posted to the website for viewing and downloading. IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PERIODICALLY CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR AMENDMENTS. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS AND PLAN ROOMS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER ON THE WEBSITE. All contractual and technical questions shall be submitted to Carrie Grimard via facsimile at 812-854-3800 or e-mail at carrie.grimard@navy.mil Provide all labor, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, supervision, quality control, and management necessary to renovate atrium in Building 3330C. Work includes patch, repair and paint the walls and ceiling in the Atrium. Additional work shall include the removal and replacement of the lettering, flags, banners, map, and assorted shields. Clean all light fixtures, HVAC vents, windows inside and ledges. Re-grout the tile floor, stain the existing grout and replace any cracked or broken tiles, provide electrical power and a data/com drop and mount a Gov owned plasma big screen TV. Modify the double set of entry doors to be ADA approved access with auto door opener controls connected to the existing Hirsch/Amag security card swipe system. Remove a section of the existing north wall; construct a new vestibule with ceiling. Frame in a new door opening. Strict fire prevention regulations shall be adhered to. Provide and install a new 1 hour fire rated door and compatible frame unit complete with a 100 square inch side light with fire rated glazing and approved hardware in the north wall. Remove and dispose of the existing door and frame unit. Frame in the opening and finish to match the adjoining walls. Modify the stair rail to meet the fire protection codes along with other miscellaneous work. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors will be used to evaluate the offers: past performance, performance narrative, and other factors as may be specified in the solicitation documents. These technical factors when combined are equal in value to the price. Estimated cost range is less than $100,000.00. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. This solicitation is a 100 percent small business set-aside. Approximate release date is Friday, April 24, 2009 with proposals due no earlier than 10 calendar days after the actual release date. A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be scheduled during the week of May 4, 2009. See solicitation for exact date and time.
