- Description
- The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) intends to issue a contract for services to provide seeding and mulching for Bread Springs Day School Intersection & Access Road, McKinley County, New Mexico. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. The project is approximately 20 miles south of Gallup, New Mexico. The work consists of seeding the areas stripped of vegetation during construction operations. Contractor shall provide service consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and incidentals necessary to provide: A.62503, Seeding, Hydraulic Method approximately 4.0 acresB.62506, Mulching, Hydraulic Method approximately 4.0 acres Contractor shall provide services in accordance with FP-96 - Section 625, Turf Establishment. Contractor shall provide all Certificates of Compliance prior to the start of work, per the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Project - 96. The seeding and mulching is to be installed at Bread Springs Day School Intersection & Access Road. Performance and delivery time is ten (10) calendar days. A Notice to Proceed will be issued by the Contracting Officer upon contract award. The Government intends to acquire the services using Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisitions of Commercial Items, for Seeding and Mulching. Solicitation No. RMN00090051, will be issued utilizing Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Item. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. NAICS Code: 561730, Small Business Size Standard: 500 employees. Interested firms are requested to submit a written request to obtain the solicitation package either by mail or by facsimile, Fax No. (505) 863-8382. Telephone request to obtain the solicitation package will not be accepted. Award will be made at a fair and reasonable price to the responsive and responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the requirements herein will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Signed and dated Standard Form 1449 is due to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Navajo Region Office, Acquisition Operations, Attention: Mary J. Jim, Contract Specialist, 301 West Hill Avenue, Room 346, or P.O. Box 1060, Gallup New Mexico 37305, by 4:30 p.m.(local time) COB, May 06, 2009.
