Description

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to EMC Corporation, 8444 Westpark Drive, Suite 700, McLean, VA 22102. This proposed contract action is for procurement of Disaster Recovery data protection through data clones and adding backup-2-disk solution between the production data hosts and tape backups. The design, installation, configuration and data migration will be performed onsite. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), (1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within two (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested parties please send quotations/responses to Mr. Kevin Woody via e-mail at Kevin.Woody@ferc.gov or Lorenzo Brown via email at Lorenzo.Brown@ferc.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
