Description
This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 5 ea. Model WP119B11/003A05/PCS-8 High Frequency Pressure Sensors, 80K PSI, 0.25 PC/PSI, Accel Comp, Floating Clamp Nut(Ceramic Coated Dia.), Positive polarity, attached 5 foot 003 cable with water tight connection system calibration CLIN 0002 5 ea. Model 402M94 In-line source follower amplifier, 6000PF, for Quartz charge type sensors The intended delivery date for the item(s) is May, 30, 2009. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to PCB Piezotronics, Inc. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334419 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday, April 27, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
