Description

RECOVERY- IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS PROVIDED BYTHE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009, PUB L. 111-5, THE GOVERNMENT POSTS THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE AN 8(A) SOLE SOURCE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL TO CLARO COMPANY, INC, 108 CARRIAGE PATH, EASLEY, SC 29673. THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: The contractor shall provide all plant, material, equipment, labor and transportation and perform all operations necessary to repair the Main Gate in accordance with the provided Statement of Work. Work includes the removal and relocation of Gamma Detectors, bollards, barricades, tiger teeth, lighting and surveillance. A new fence with electric closure will be designed and installed. The contractor shall provide all plant, material, equipment, labor and transportation and perform all operations necessary to Design and Construct Roads at the Main Gate in accordance with the provided Statement of Work. Work includes new asphalt surface course roadway/parking, drainage to include curb inlets, associated signage and striping and surveillance points. The contractor will obtain all required DHEC permits for storm water pollution control. The contractor shall also provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, labor, and applicable licenses and permits necessary to ensure that the old Main Gate House, Building 14 is demolished to include associated pavements, utility cut and capping, backfilling, sodding and debris removal services Pursuant to section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 627 (a)), and in accordance with CFR 124-1-1(c) and FAR 19.8, the Small Business Administration has accepted this requirement on behalf of Claro Company, Inc.
