- FedBiz Opps announcement for event planning and support services The intent of this market research is to identify vendor interest in a no-cost contract with the government for event planning and support services for the Joint Munitions Command (JMC), FY09 Installation Safety Conference. For purposes of this announcement, a no-cost contract is defined as a formal arrangement between a government entity and a vendor under which the government makes no monetary payment for the vendors performance. Vendor is entitled to all of the fees collected for vendor displays/exhibits at the conference as payment for performance. The governments liability for payment of services is zero. The proposed event will be held at a facility available in the Quad Cities area in close proximity to Rock Island Arsenal, as determined by JMC, located in the Rock Island, Illinois. Estimate this event will attract 250+ Industry/Government attendees over a three day period. Interested vendors must have knowledge of the Department of Army protocol, regulations and procedures. To facilitate event planning, the vendor must be located within a 100 mile radius of Rock Island Arsenal. Interested parties will submit a statement of capability that demonstrates past performance in conducting same or similar events within the last 3 years. The market research is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal, as an intent to issue a solicitation, or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market research or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be utilized by JMC in developing an acquisition approach.
