- 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) is seeking qualified sources that can provide an Inertial Reference Unit for KuSS C-130 Hatch. The Inertial Reference Unit provides antenna pointing data to the Ku Spread Spectrum Terminal. This enables the antenna to track the satellite while the aircraft is in flight along with providing the capability to operate the terminal on the ground. Additional specific knowledge and experience requirements include: -Mount to the VMT-1220HM Ku Spread Spectrum terminal -Form Factor : 6" x 7.5" x 7.5" -Weight <8.5lbs -Be able to operate in a Stand Alone mode -Static Heading Determination - without GPS: <0.10 RMS -Dynamic Heading Determination-with GPS:<0.10RMS -Position Accuracy - without GPS:<0.25% DT horizontal -Position Accuracy-with GPS:<10meters CEP -Elevation accuracy-without GPS ;<0.250 -Alignment time - static: 3-5 minutes -Alignment time on-the-move with GPS: 1-3 minutes -Stored Heading and position initialization -< 45 sec -Environmental EMI MIL STD-810/MIL STD -461 -Power consumption: 18 watts or less This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this Request for Information (RFI). The Air Force will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. This FedBizOpps notice is an announcement seeking market information on businesses capable of providing the product as described herein. 6 CONS is currently conducting market research to determine qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. The information requested by this RFI will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. For the purpose of this RFI the anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220-Radio and television broadcasting and wireless communications equipment manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. If your firm has an interest in proposing on the requirements described above, please provide a Capability Statement to TSgt Donald Mills, donald.mills.1@us.af.mil, or Ms Barbara Squitieri, barbara.squitieri@us.af.mil. The Capability Statement should include general information and technical background describing your firm's experiences in contracts requiring similar efforts.
