Description
RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT NATIONWIDE INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACTS. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act), The Department of Energy (DOE), Oak Ridge Office (ORO) plans to award three task orders under the existing Environmental Management (EM) Nationwide Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery /Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts to perform EM scope at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) site. Proposal evaluations and task order administration will be conducted at ORO. The following is a synopsis of each anticipated task order: Task Order 1: Hot Cells This work is anticipated to include removal and disposition of legacy material from ORNL Buildings 2026 and 3038; completion of deactivation of Building 3038 (including abatements and equipment removal activities); and completion of work required in Building 3026. Task Order 2: - Bethel Valley Burial GroundsThis work is anticipated to include the removal and disposition of approximately 26,000 cubic yards of ?hot spot? soil contamination and hydrologically isolate two major sources of contaminant releases in Bethel Valley. It is anticipated that this task order will be set aside for small business participation. Task Order 3: ORNL Facilities D&DThis work is anticipated to include deactivation and decommissioning (D&D) services of 34 facilities and structures totaling approximately 115,900 square feet at ORNL and includes 18 radiological facilities and 16 standard industrial facilities. This notice does not constitute a request for a formal proposal. This notice indicates the anticipated issuance of Request for Task Proposals (RFTP). It is anticipated that the RFTPs will be issued in late spring, and that all task orders will be awarded by the end of FY 2009. A site tour for eligible contractors is expected to be scheduled approximately 7-10 days after the RFTP is issued.
