Description
The MACC program represents a multiple award construction acquisition for design and construction activities at TAFB. Indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) firm fixed price contracts will be awarded to up to six contractors who illustrate their comprehensive understanding of the statement of work (SOW) and adherence to the terms and conditions presented in the solicitation. The MACC contracts will be for one basic year with four, one-year options. Individual project scopes shall be awarded in compliance with Fair Opportunity requirements of the solicitaion as task orders against the basic contract. The MACC program has a cumulative value for all basic contracts awarded not to exceed $100 million. Work shall consist of multiple disciplines in general construction categories and may involve design services for execution of a broad range of maintenance, repair, alteration, and minor construction projects affecting real property at TAFB. The contractors shall provide diversified design-build or construction only services and activities to support those designs, including Value Engineering (VE) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED TM ) analyses. The MACC program contractors will perform both conventional and fast-track design-build (construction) activities for TAFB in support of the Base Civil Engineer's real property Sustainment, Restoration, and Maintenance (SRM) and Depot Maintenance Activity Group (DMAG) programs for facilities and infrastructure base-wide. Conventional design-build is the process by which the same contractor provides both the design and construction activities for a project, completing the design before construction activity begins. Fast-track design-build is the process by which the same contractor performs both the design and construction activities for a project, beginning construction at a mutually agreed point prior to completion of the design and construction drawings.
