- The work includes routine maintenance dredging of approximately 184,000 cubic yards of shoal material from Ponce de Leon Inlet Cuts 1A, 1S, 3N, 4N and 5N, Volusia County, Florida, to a required depth of 12 feet MLLW plus 2 feet allowable overdepth. Place dredged material on North Ponce de Leon Beach Disposal Area located between FDEP monuments R-143 and R-145 that commences approximately 5,000 feet north of the Inlet. Place pipeline over North Jetty, and continue north keeping pipeline below EL +9.0 feet MLW (toe of grass dune). Work also includes turbidity monitoring and beach tilling. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be issued on or about 11 May 2009 with bids due on or about 11 June 2009. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible with providing you with notification of any changes to this solicitation. You must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration in order to be eligible to receive an award from this solicitation. NAICS Code 237990, size standard $20 million. NOTE: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. ***A PORTION OF THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT MAY BE FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009.
