- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Contractor Logistics Support for the Suite of Support Equipment Developed Under the Safety Enhanced Re-entry Vehicle Program This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. 1.0 SUBJECT: Sources sought for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the suite of Support Equipment (SE) developed under the Safety Enhanced Re-entry Vehicle (SERV) program. This service supports the 526th Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Systems Group (526 ICBMSG). 2.0 DESCRIPTION: Lockheed Martin Space Systems Corporation, King of Prussia, PA (Cage Code 79272) is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only known source capable of providing support maintenance and repair actions associated with the SERV Support Equipment. It is anticipated that this requirement will be sole source to Lockheed Martin Space Systems. The SERV SE is a suite of testers located at the ICBM missile wings and at the depot located at Hill AFB, UT. The suite includes: the SERV Field Test Set (SFTS), the SFTS alignment Console, the Arming and Fuzing Assembly (AFA) Test Set, the Re-entry Vehicle (RV) Test Set, the Tape Checkout Simulator, the Ball Lock Alignment Stand, the RV Pallet, the AFA lifting Adapter, the Mark 21 body Section Lifting Adapter, and all associated cabling regarding the above listed support equipment. The contractor will be required to support maintenance and repair actions during the contract time period when directed by the government program office. Rapid response by the contractor will be required to preclude significant downtime at the missile wings. SE checkout and repair will occur at both field and CLS contractor facilities. The CLS contractor will be required to develop training materials and conduct training programs for government maintenance personnel on proper maintenance and repair of the listed SE equipment.
