- Description: This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes a Request for Quotation; proposals are being requested. Solicitation number F3H1F19100A001 is issued as a request for quotation. Funds are currently available. Quotations must be good for one month after the closing post date. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 314912. The business size standard is 500 employees. Offutt AFB intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: Line Items: 1. Work includes providing all labor, material and equipment required to install two new contractors purchased, heavy duty, weather resistant fabric hangar doors on an existing exterior of the main EB4 Hangar B.565. The specific requirements are as follows: a. New fabric hangar doors shall be "clamshell-type" structure that can be electronically opened and closed. b. The contractor shall provide all required wiring and conduit back to the closest electrical panel for power and perform all required connections to the panel. All electrical work shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the National Electrical Code. c. Door Location: The new fabric doors will be installed at entrances on the front and back of the facility. d. Automatic doors will be secured to the existing facility. Additional structural supports will be required. e. Follow manufacturer's installation instructions for the installation of new automatic fabric doors. f. Doors shall be capable of deploying in less than 5 minutes. g. The automatic fabric doors shall be able to withstand straight line winds of up to 110 MPH. h. The automatic fabric doors shall be able to withstand 40 lb per square foot snow load. i. The automatic fabric doors shall meet a required rating for hail stones of 430 lbs per square inch of melon burst. j. The fabric doors shall have a minimum 10 year warranty for parts and labor. k. Hangar dimensions are as follow (see attached drawings): all dimensions shall be field verified by the contractor before ordering and installation of fabric canopies. -Total hangar width-290ft -Current door opening width-216ft -Hangar height at peak-86ft 11in -Distance aircraft protrudes outside of hangar-50ft -Width of aircraft stabilizer-72ft 9in -Height of aircraft vertical stabilizer-63ft 5in l. Any work required to modify the existing facility shall be designed by a Registered Professional Structural Engineer. Design and drawings shall be signed and stamped by a Registered Professional Structural Engineer. Drawings and design shall be submitted for approval to 55th CE before any construction starts. The contractor shall submit manufacturer's literature, warranty information and maintenance information for approval prior to any installation. m. Existing obstruction lights shall be raised as require to meet FAA regulations for lighting airfield obstructions. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. If not already registered in CCR, go to WWW.CCR.GOV to register prior to submitting quote. GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO ISSUE ONE (1) CONTRACT BUT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CONSIDER PARTIAL BIDS.
