Description

Connect Direct Software and Maintenance The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to make a Sole Source award to Sterling Commerce America, Inc. for the purchase of Connect: Direct software licenses. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, which authorizes other than full and open competition when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy agency requirements. Sterling Commerce is the original software manufacturer and the sole provider of the software. The requirement will be fulfilled by the delivery of Connect:Direct software licenses and maintenance with a one year period of performance. This notice of intent to award should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Contract. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary. Responses to the notice of intent to award will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. As such, the Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this request. Please include the name of the point of contact, email address and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. Please note: A SOLICIATION DOES NOT EXIST.
