- This is modification 1 to the synopsis entitled "NEUTRAL BUOYANCY LABORATORY NBLSPACE VEHICLE MOCKUP FACILITY SVMF PROCUREMENT" which was posted on April 10, 2009. Youare notified that the following changes are made: Posting Industry Day Notification andinformation. NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA/JSC) announces plans to conduct a Neutral BuoyancyLaboratory (NBL)/Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (NBL/SVMF) Industry Day. NASA/JSC ishereby soliciting firms to attend this event May 12-13, 2009 at the NASA/JSC GilruthRecreation Center. The presentation to industry will be held on May 12 from 9:00 a.m. to11:00 a.m. in the Alamo Ballroom. One-on-one communication opportunities will bescheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 12 and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 13in the Coronado meeting room at the Gilruth Center. In addition, tours of applicableon-site and off-site facilities will be made available on Tuesday May 12 and WednesdayMay 13. GOALS:The goals of Industry Day are to: 1.Provide information on the current Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) SpaceVehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF) Operations Contract (NSOC).2.Promote competition on the proposed new NBL/SVMF acquisition. 3.Share the Governments current vision and objectives pertaining to the newacquisition. 4.Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to improve the future acquisitionRequest for Proposals (RFPs). SIGN-UP REQUIREMENTS: Industry Day is open to all firms: both companies that have performed work at JSC andthose that have not performed work and are interested in pursuingcontracting/subcontracting opportunities. All interested parties are encouraged toattend.No photos or recording devices are permitted during Industry Day presentation,One-on-ones, or tours. NASA Presentation: Registration Requirements for Industry Day: Interested parties are requested to RSVP for Industry Day by close of business on Monday,May 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. CDT, via e-mail at cynthia.w.maclean@nasa.gov The RSVP should include the following information: i. Subject line: "NBL/SVMF Industry Day RSVP" ii. Point-of-contact's name, telephone number, and company iii. Names of all the attendees from interested company. An open Q&A session will follow the presentation. One-on-one Sessions: To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also beavailable for private meetings with individual companies in conjunction with IndustryDay. The purpose of these meetings is to provide industry with the opportunity to betterunderstand the existing requirements under NSOC and for the Government to betterunderstand any written inputs that were made in response to the previously posted Requestfor Information (RFI). It is intended as a question and answer session and neither side(will) should be making a presentation. Any company may request a one-on-one meeting.Meetings will not exceed 45 minutes in length and attendance is limited to four persons. Scheduling of appointment times will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointmentswill be scheduled in 45 minute increments between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on May 12,2009, and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on May 13, 2009. To schedule your meeting, please contact the Contracting Officer, Cindy Maclean, viae-mail at cynthia.w.maclean@nasa.gov no later than Monday, May 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. CDT.The meeting request shall include the following information: 1. Names and titles of attendees (limited to four) attending from your company.4. Any special time requests, with justification (will only be accommodated as practical)Companies will be notified on or before May 7 of their assigned meeting time.(Should the number of firms requesting meetings exceed the time available on May 12 and13, other meeting times will be arranged as soon as is practical.) Guidance for conduct of the One-on-One communications will be provided on the NBL/SVMFwebsite @ http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/nsoc/ Facility Tours:Tours of the NBL and SVMF will be made available three different times: during theafternoon of May 12, 2009, and during the morning and afternoon of May 13, 2009. Attendance is limited to two persons per company at each facility, but it need not bethe same two for both places. Tours will start at the Gilruth Center and buses will stopthere between locations. Note that tours of the NBL and SVMF require closed toe shoes,with no high heels permitted. Companies/teams will be assigned to specific tours and times. Tours will be scheduled soas not to overlap with any one-on-one meetings. Companies will be notified on or beforeMay 7 of their assigned tour time.To make reservations for the facilities tours please contact Cindy Maclean atcynthia.w.maclean@nasa.gov. The tour request shall include the following information:1. In the subject line of your e-mail note: "NBL/SVMF: Reservation for Facility Tours" 2. Point of contact's name, company, address, e-mail and phone number. 3. Names, titles, affiliated company, and status of US Citizenship of all personsplanning to attend the tours. (limited to two per company per tour)4. Any special time requests, with justification (will only be accommodated as practical)Reservations must be received by 4:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, May 4, 2008.A confirmationemail will be sent to acknowledge your reservation. DIRECTIONS TO NASA/JSC GILRUTH BALLROOM:As you are heading South on I-45, turn Left on Bay Area Boulevard (Take ramp 26 towardBay Area Boulevard. Take the ramp onto West Bay Area Boulevard.) Proceed on Bay AreaBoulevard until you come to Space Center Boulevard. Turn Right on Space CenterBoulevard. Proceed on Space Center Boulevard through two stop lights.Turn Right intothe Johnson Space Center Gilruth Center. Proceed to the Gilruth Building parking lot. Enter the Gilruth Building front door.The Ballroom will be to your left.No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA AcquisitionInternet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites forthe release of any solicitation or synopsis.
