- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation request for quotes for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued as a Request For Quotes under RFQ9051. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-31. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a not small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. Small and disadvantage businesses are encouraged to submit a quotation on this requirement. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has a requirement to procure a MicroImager and ScanImager will be used for advanced virtual quantitative microscopy and image analysis. The virtual quantitative microscopy and image analysis are of great important quantitative morphometric data on biomarkers of viral infections in mammalian host. The system shall have the following components: 1) visiopharm software for programming of image analysis protocols; 2) processing recording; 3) data storage; 4) Sterology for separate images; 5) large image batches; 6) virtual digital slides; 7) Automation in key aspects of the workflow associated with quantitative microscopy; 8) Image data capture; 9) data management; 10) Stereology through the Microimager; 12) WS Manager modules; 13) work efficient with whole slide images for demanding image analysis task; 14) Rare event detection of 100% of the slides needed to be analyzed high speed; 15) Analysis of entire structures handled at lower magnification where an image entire structure can extracted and analyzed; 16) Analysis of structural contents based on one or more regions of the tissue specimens at a high magnification; 17) All three situations can bundle in a unique way for the microimager module offers systematic uniform random sampling principles that provides a complete representation sample of image fields from one or more regions in a given tissue specimen. The following evaluation criteria will be used to evaluate the offers: a) Price; b) Delivery; c) Warranty. The FOB Point shall be Destination, Bethesda, Maryland, 20892. The government will award a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible contractor. All responses will be considered by the agency.
