Description
NOTICE: The issuance of the RFP has been briefly delayed. Although an exact release date is to be determined, it should be NLT 4 May 09. The purpose of this modification is to provide Government responses to all questions submitted by interested parties to date. 1. Request clarification on the document titled Interface Drawing. The drawings provided in the draft RFP are space claim drawings. They provide only the location and space available for the APU and Winch. An Interface Control Drawing would include the electrical and mechanical interface requirements, such as existing appurtenances, bosses, tapped holes, brackets, etc., which can be used for the installation of the APU and Winch system; or are these requirements that need to be developed under the contract. Answer: Attached please find the revised drawing, 93051, Rev. A. In reviewing the bidder's question, they asked for "existing appurtenances, bosses, tapped holes, brackets, etc., which can be used for the installation of the APU and Winch system". This leads me to believe that it was not clear that the vendor supplied winch mounting brackets are to be welded to the hull of the Buffalo vehicle. The previous version of the drawing showed the weld area space for the APU mounting brackets on sheet 1 zone B-4 but did not specifically call out the weld area space for the winch mounting brackets. This has now been clarified with an additional view on sheet 5 zone A-5 showing the weld area for the winch. Attached drawings supercede all previous versions.
