Description
CONTROLLED HUMIDITY PROTECTION (CHP) PROGRAM UNITED STATES AIR FORCE OBJECTIVE: The government requires site assessment and/or site design for execution of USAF CHP projects at Andersen Air Force Base (AFB), Guam. DESCRIPTION OF TASKS: a.Site Assessments, General. The site assessments specified below shall be conducted on a schedule to be jointly developed by the CHP POC at Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and/or the designated CHP POC at Andersen, AFB, and coordinated with the contractor. The site assessment is expected to be accomplished during a period of performance of three (3) months from award, assuming the site visit is conducted within the first 30 days. The specific specific schedule will be established by the designated USAF CHP POC. The site assessment shall be conducted jointly by the contractor and representative(s) of the USAF at Andersen AFB. The site assessment report deliverable shall be approved by the Andersen AFB POC and submitted to the designated CHP POC, as determined during the site visit. The site assessment report shall be used by the government to evaluate the contractor’s proposed technical solutions to the government’s requirement. b. Project Number 09-01 (Site Assessment Phase Only), Guam. The contractor shall provide site assessments, preliminary designs and recommend solutions to integrate dehumidification (DH) into aircraft operations and maintenance programs of assigned aircraft wings/detachments stationed at Andersen AFB. The site assessment will evaluate both hanger and flight line DH applications. c.Project Number 09-02 (Site Assessment Phase Only), Guam. The contractor shall provide site assessments and preliminary designs for new CHP shelters to support Andersen AFB requirements for Modified Long Term Protection (MLTP) of aerospace ground equipment (AGE) and aircraft peculiar equipment for aircraft stationed at Andersen AFB. d.Project Number 09-03 (Site Assessment Phase Only), Guam. The contractor shall provide site assessments and preliminary designs for conversion of existing hangar, supply, and other storage facilities as deemed appropriate by the Andersen AFB and PACAF POC. e.Project Number 09-04 (Site Assessment Phase Only), Guam. The contractor shall provide site assessments and preliminary designs for any additional potential CHP applications as deemed appropriate by the Andersen AFB and/or PACAF POC prior to or during the site assessment visit.
