Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Division Newport(NUWCDIVNPT), RI intends to award a firm fixed price type contract for the administration of the NUWCDIVNPT Undersea Technologist Apprentice Program. Requirement is for a total of 34 apprentices from local high schools for two four week sessions, beginning 30 June 2009. Additional information will be provided upon the release of RFQ N66604-09-Q-3408, anticipated to be on or about 30 Apr 2009. All responsible sources may submit a proposal or quotation. Proposed contract to be awarded using FAR Part 13.5. A prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR and ORCA database prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on CCR and ORCA registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov and Http://orca.bpn.gov.The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the FEDBIZOPS and NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading! their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments.
