Description
***The Balkans Contingency Contracting Team, Camp Bondsteel Kosovo, APO AE 09340 LOCATION: Camp Bondsteel, APO AE 09340 Synopsis To support ongoing missions, the Task force needs 665 riot face shields. The riot face shield shall following minimum requirements: 1)Removable Face Shield that mounts securely on the ACH Kevlar in less than two minutes. a.When properly affixed, the Face Shield must be firmly able to withstand multiple non-ballistic strikes and impacts without dislodging from the ACH Kevlar with NVG Mounting Bracket. b.Must be able to lock into the up position (allowing unobstructed visibility forward) and into the down position (protecting the face from non-ballistic impacts). The tilt lock mechanism to move between the two positions must be capable of one-handed operation, and either fixed on the right side of the head or interchangeable to suit the wearers needs. c.Must extend far enough away from the face in the down position to allow an M40 Pro-Mask and filter to be worn by the Soldier. d.Face Shield must be of a transparent material that will not easily shatter or scratch; must meet MIL-V-43511C & NIJ 0104.02 standards, and must not weigh more than 2 lbs. This announcement is Full and Open. NOTICE OF ANY OPTIONS: None TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fix Price Contract ESTIMATED STARTING DATE: To be Determined SCHEDULED OPENING & CLOSING: The solicitation will be available on or about the week 6 MAY 2009, and proposals will be due on or about 20 MAY 2009. The solicitation, including any amendments, shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times. ANY SIGNIFICANT EVALUATION FACTORS: Proposals received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with procedures outlined in FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, offer being most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The solicitation will include evaluation factors and SOWs. Any changes to evaluation factors will be issued by amendment.
