- The Federal Aviation Administration is soliciting competitive offers for the barge transport of various electrical equipment from the Port of Anchorage, AK to Elim, AK, USA. Delivery is required to commence within ten business days of award and must arrive in Elim on or before June 15, 2009, according to terms within the Request for Proposal (RFP). DOT/FAA anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract. Contract Line Item 2 is an optional line item and may or may not be awarded at a later date. Response to the solicitation is required by 11:00 a.m., Alaska Time, May 1, 2009. The RFP and any subsequent amendments are available on-line at http://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm., or via written request to the contracting office. All interested sources should first attempt to download the RFP from the internet. If downloading is not possible, all requests for a copy should be submitted in writing either via facsimile (907-271-2326), or via e-mail to: Nichole.CTR.Cruthirds@faa.gov. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
