Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Programs Center (TAC) is seeking information from businesses interested in performing a contract for American Seating Systems furniture. The facility is located at Winchester, Virginia. This sources sought announcement is a market research tool for assessing industry interest in this project. Information provided to the Corps will be used to develop the solicitation and its scope of services. This announcement is not a request for proposals. The Government will not be obligated to any prospective contractor that responds to this announcement and it will not pay for any information provided to it. A solicitation will be synopsized at the Federal Business Opportunities site and may be posted at the site. The Government anticipates the award of a performance based, firm fixed price contract. The agency will determine whether or not to set-aside this requirement for small business or other socio-economic programs based upon the responses received to this announcement. The scope of services includes: the contractor will be required to reconfigure or install systems furniture in two areas of the TAC facility. The contractor shall provide American Seating Systems furniture. The requested services will require the vendor/contractor to procure additional parts/pieces of systems furniture. TAC does have a limited supply of systems furniture and parts on hand which are available for use in these projects. The systems furniture consists of additional parts/pieces that match existing American Seating systems that we currently use and must match (color). The vendor/contractor must be familiar with the set up, assembly and disassembly of the American Seating Systems furniture that we have on hand. These services will be provided at the Corps of Engineers facility at 201 Prince Frederick Drive, Winchester, VA (TAC HQs facility). Respondents should provide the following information: business name, address, Dun and Bradstreet number, business size classification based on NAICS classification 337214 and its size standard of $33.5M, socio-economic classification (small business, section 8(a), woman/veteran owned, non-profit, etc). Provide the name of a person to contact with phone number and email address. All interested parties are requested to respond to this announcement not later than May 6, 2009.
