- Ampex miniR 700 w/ mRMM Cradle Data Recorders and Analysis Equipment OR EQUAL The Air Force is publishing a Sources Sought Synopsis. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine if there are any businesses available who are capable of performing the effort described herein. The Air Force Research Lab at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH is seeking sources to provide: Data recorders and supporting analysis equipment to provide data collection and subsequent analysis during different stages of flight testing. The data recorder and equipment must use the same/compatible data collection format during flight testing, Hardware-In-The-Loop testing and bench level data collection for program analysis. Multiple contractors will require the use of these data recorders and analysis stations over the course of the program and compatibility/transferability is essential. The data recorders must be capable of expanding to incorporate additional memory for extensive testing as well as have data conversion capabilities, export capabilities and interface flexibility and expansion. The recorders must also be capable of simultaneous data logging and time tagging. The data recorders must also have the option to expand to include video recording during testing. This is in support of market research being conducted by ASC to identify capable potential sources. It should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate your abilities to meet the stated requirements. Limit responses to a total page limit of 5-7pages. Each page shall be formatted for 8 " x 11" size paper. Pages shall be single-spaced and one-sided. The font shall be Times New Roman and no smaller than 10pt with at least a one-inch margin. Covers, tab dividers, title pages, glossaries, and table of contents are not required. Please submit your responses electronically in a Microsoft Word compatible file.3.Address your approach to how equipment would be provided as requested above as well as a total cost to the government quote.4.Provide no more than five contract history matrices for any contract relevant to this effort. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse the respondents for any costs associated with their response. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposals nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to contact the submitting parties, on an as required basis, for further clarification on material provided. All responses are due no later than 5:00 PM (EST), 8 May 2009. Contractor Experience: The contractor must be able to provide the equipment listed within a 60 to 90-day delivery schedule. Please at a minimum address the specifications for the Ampex miniR 700 w/ mRMM Cradle Data Recorders and Analysis Equipment OR EQUAL in the order listed below: a.Demonstrated capability to provide six (6) Data Recorders, four (4) supporting Analysis Stations (Playback Cradle) and one (1) License for software for the Analysis Stations. b.Demonstrated capability to produce the equipment with the following characteristics: have a solid state removable memory 14-448GB capacity, be field configurable, have multiple interface support options, be airborne qualified, have IRIG, IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol Timing Source, have a 700 Mb/S recording rate, have 10W Power for base recorder and provide both Ethernet and Firewire real-time download capabilities. The data recorders base must also feature the AM-156 Audio Module. c.Demonstrated capability to provide the equipment in the delivery schedule listed above to meet the Air Force Research Laboratory's flight test requirements.d.Demonstrated capability to operate at altitudes up to 70,000 ft.e.Demonstrated capability to operate at a temperature range of -40C to 71 Cf.Demonstrated capability to operate as a web-browser service running on Control Ethernet Port.g.Demonstrated capability to operate at a weight of no more than 43 oz.h.Demonstrated capability to operate at a size of no more than 4.12" x 4.25" x 1.81" Contract Details: This acquisition will be open to all type businesses, meeting the Contractor Experience criteria. Firm Fixed Price type pricing arrangement will be utilized. NAICS Code is 334119. Size standard is 1,000 employees.
