PACKAGING PERFORMANCE PLAN DATA SHEETS APPENDIX C APPENDIX B PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-24 dated 28 Feb 08. The Purchase Request number is FD2030-09-06728. The solicitation number is for FA8121-09-R-0023. The solicitation is a request for proposals (RFP). Proposals will be received at the issuing office until 3:00 PM Central Standard Time on 03 JUNE 2009. Qualified source is Hamilton Sundstrand, CT (73030). All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal that shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the offeror meets qualification requirements at the time of award IAW FAR clause 52.209-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect in the Federal Acquisition Regulations and supplements on the date the solicitation is issued. Quantity: 6EA BASIC YEAR, 5EA OPTION YEAR ONE, 5EA OPTION YEAR TWO, 5EA OPTION YEAR THREE, 7EA OPTION YEAR FOUR. Required Delivery: 1 EA every 45 days, after receipt of assets BASIC YEAR AND OPTION YEARS ONE THROUGH FOUR. Inspection and Acceptance of Line Item 0001 shall be FOB Origin. Packaging Requirements: Items shall be packed in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1 B, Standard Practice for Military Packaging. Shipping and storage markings shall be in accordance with AFMCFARS 5352.247-9009. DESCRIPTION: The DEC controls all the functions of the engine in the primary mode. It converts electronic signals into digital signal form and transmits these signals to the aircraft's computer as requested. The function of the DEC is conversion of 14 electrical analog signals from various components into digital signal form. It then transmits these signals to the aircraft's computer upon request. Over 40 variable parameters or discrete signals, many overlapping in use for analysis of other systems, are available per engine. RMC: R2Z.
