Description
The Contractor shall provide armed security guards and patrol vehicles for guard services at Lucky Peak Dam and Lake. Services shall be provided for a base period (starting 3 June 2009) and two option periods (2010 and 2011) not to exceed 90 days each year. The target period for these services are while the lake level is full or within five feet of full. Lake level varies depending on snow melt rate and irrigation demands. If the lake elevation is below 3050 (five feet of full) at the beginning of contract periods or drops below 3050 before the end of contract periods, start and end dates of each year can be modified by the Government for later start dates and earlier end dates. The Contractor shall be able and willing to start and/or end contract services within 48 hours of notification. Contractor shall be paid based on actual work performed. Lucky Peak Dam and Lake is approximately 8 miles from Boise, Idaho. The guard shall be on stationary duty at locations (to be determined by the Lucky Peak Operations Manager) along the dam crest road and shall also provide periodic roving patrols in the vicinity of the dam. The roving patrol route and approximate times for each activity shall be determined by the Operations Manager. The roving patrol route shall include up to five miles of driving patrol and shall be performed at least four times during each shift. These positions/routes may be adjusted from time to time and should vary slightly to avoid an easily discernable pattern; all the while executing a complete patrol.
