Description
Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, and incidentals to perform the services required to chemically treat specified areas around two year old conifer trees and to remove flood debris caught on protectors and trees shrubs on 13 WRP easements adjacent to the Chehalis River in Grays Harbor County, Washingto. The project consist of killing existing competitive vegetation by hand spraying grass competition of conifer trees and removing twigs, grass, and other debris caught on trees and protectors from recent flood events. The 13 WRP sites are immediately adjacent to or near the Chehalis River between Montesano and Oakville, Washington. Specification sheet for NRCS Practice Standard Forest Stand Improvement, Practice Code 666, summarizes in detail the acreages that will be involved. The most effective herbicide will be used. All label requirements for application timing, rates and methods will be followed. All herbicide recommendations and applications will be made by a licensed pesticide applicator. A 2 foot diameter circle around each plant wil be spot sprayed by hand to control grass competition. Protective actions wil be taken to protect the trees from drift of chemical. Remove grass, twigs, branches, and other minor debris from newly planted trees and protectors by hand. Any tree s leaning will be up-righted at the time of debris removal.
