- Description
- The Veterans Health Administration located in Altoona, PA intends to issue an Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for construction. The project consist of the contractor providing all plant, labor, materials, equipment, appliances, permits, transportation and supervision necessary for the construction services required under Project Number 503-03-124, FCA Halls and Walls, B/1/2/B7, at the VA Medical Center, Altoona, PA., in accordance with the solicitation documents, specifications and drawings. Tasks associated with this project include but are not limited to demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnishing labor and materials to perform replacement work as required by the specifications and drawings. This project includes various disciplines of work to complete all work required. Performance period is 210 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be available fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of publication of this announcement. The Solicitation, Specifications and Drawings will be available at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. Furthermore, all respondents must be registered in CCR data base, see http://www.ccr.gov and complete online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov along with Vets 100 at http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. Bidders must be registered in vetbiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov/. All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through the web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the http://www.fedbizopps.gov web site to be entered on the Bidders Mailing List and to obtain copies of the Bidders Mailing List. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. This project is being solicited as a TOTAL 100 % SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236220, with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation package, amendments, and site visit minutes will be issued by way of the web only. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing by email to danny.sanders@va.gov, all questions pertaining to this solicitation must be received in writing no later than 2:00 P.M. on June 18, 2009, no telephone request will be honored. All responses to questions will be posted to the web site. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation based on availability of funds. It is the responsibility of the contractor to frequently check the web site for all notices, amendments, etc, regarding this solicitation. The government will not be responsible for any notifications not sent or received by contractors regarding this solicitation. Solicitation Issue Date will be on or about May 21, 2009. A pre-bid conferences/site visit will be conducted for this solicitation on May 28, 2009, at10:00 A.M., in Building 2, Room 106 at the VA Medical Center, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602. The due date for proposal's will be 10:00 A.M. on June 23, 2009.
