Description
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, parts, labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to repair Fort Dix Ladder Truck # 6825, Manufacturer: Seagrave, Year 2000, VIN # 1F9F838L0YCST2016 in accordance with the scope of work, unless specified as provided by the Government. The Government intends to make award on a sole source basis to Emergency Products, Inc.. The requirement for repair of the Ladder Truck is as follows: -Replace the two (2) damaged cable sheaves at the tip of the 1st Aerial Ladder Section -Replace the two (2) damaged cable sheaves at the tip of the 2nd Aerial Ladder Section -Replace the two (2) damaged Magnet assemblies on the bottom of the Aerial Rail, for the Aerial Bedded Circuit -Repair or replace the Base End of the Extend/Retract Cylinders due to damage from cable wear -Replace the Compartment Door, and Pump Panel Door Switches -Replace the Right Side Extend/Retract Cable due to damage on the Adjusting Rod End -Replace the Mounting Bolts in the Detroit Diesel Engine Mounts -Repair or replace the Emergency Power Unit Motor Assembly as required, to ensure proper operation -Provide and install a new Radiator for the Vehicle In order to maintain manufacturers warranty, the ladder truck must be serviced by factory authorized dealer. All work is to be performed at the contractors place of business. Repairs to the fire truck are a mission essential item which must occur as expeditiously as possible. The proposed final delivery date is 28 May 2009. The fire truck must be returned to a fully operable condition. This is a commercial acquisition. This solicitation is a request for quote and is issued as unrestricted with a primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 811111 with a related small business size standard of $7M. The entire solicitation will be made available on or about 05 May 09 via Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition to Business Website located at https://acquisition.army.mil. The required response date will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be mailed. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award.
