Description
The US Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA intends to negotiate a modification to the existing purchase order, HSCG84-09-N-AA8295, for rental of mobile kitchen and dining room at USCG SFO Galveston TX, to add a CLIN for a seven month rental period with two one-month option CLINs, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2). The modification would extend the current purchase order seven months from 1 June 2009 through 31 December 2009; with options, if exercised, through 28 February 2010. The modification for continued rental of mobile kitchen and dining room will be negotiated with incumbent contractor, Stewart's Mobile Concepts Ltd., 845 E. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station NY 11746-7504. The extension includes the rental of mobile kitchen and dining room to include 8'x45' mobile kitchen with propane equipment; flat griddle; deep fat fryer; 6 burner stove-top; double convection oven; 20 gallon kettle; work tables for food preparation; 2-compartment sink for produce washing; hand sink for hand-washing; 8'x10' walk in reefer; two stand-up freezers; punch dispenser; steam table for serving hot items; and a 7'x10' enclosed dry-store room. Dining facility includes restroom and seating for 40-50 people. A dishwashing room with a heavy duty commercial 1-compartment dishwasher is also part of rental equipment. An extension to current purchase order would avoid a duplication of significant delivery, setup, and pickup costs; and an interrupted galley service that is responsible for feeding 110-120 SFO Galveston personnel and tenant commands. The extension is needed due to unanticipated delay in the renovation/repair of existing galley building that was left damaged during Hurricane IKE. Flood damages to the electrical equipment & mildew throughout the building still exist causing the building to be unusable for normal operations. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the US Coast Guard. Submit all questions or responses to this notice to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Reginald Henderson via e-mail at reginald.b.henderson@uscg.mil, by 22 May 2009, 4:00PM (EST).
