- TAS::57 3404::TAS ARRA XUMU 11-1061B, Repair Fitness Center, Bldg 9005, fully funded by Recovery Act. Work efforts for this project will consist of the renovation of selected rooms throughout the Fitness Center, within Facility 9005 in VAFB, CA. The selected rooms will include the Group Fitness Room, Family Fitness Room, and the Boxing Program Area. Contractor will remove and discard existing carpeting, electrical floor tray/trough, conduit, boxes and appurtenances; patch surfaces to match existing and standard floor preparation; install GerFlox Taraflex 5mm "Multipurpose" vinyl flooring; install new electrical wall outlets to include any new conduit. Family Fitness Room: Contractor will remove existing wall hung mirrors, in preparation of the installation of one full length Glass Partition Wall, having swing gate at the center with equal sized fixed glass on each side. Low profile base clad with polished stainless steel and 2" diameter polished stainless steel top rail, stainless steel single acting glass to glass hinges and latch. ½" clear tempered, exposed edges to be flat polished. Boxing Program Area: Contractor to construct a new Boxing area using 3" 5/8 metal studs anchored to the existing flooring, securing with ½" lag bolts every 32" on-center to the under structure securing to the existing flooring material. Compliant concrete ramp and ADA Compliant wall mounted rail as well as outside rails, painted per the Facilities selection. Existing concrete sidewalk will be removed to construct new ramp, once ramp is complete, Contractor will pour new sidewalk around where existing was removed.
